Help me out?

I am wanting to help a friend out with building his first gaming PC but his budget is $300 and I am wanting to use Intel Pentium G4400 for his CPU and GPU. That is why I need help because I'm not sure if that is going to be good enough. The games he is trying to play are CS:GO and Rocket League.

In all honesty, if he wants to play off the G4400 then he's going to be a little(or more so) disappointed. If you had 500USD at hand, you could build an entry level gaming system(not for competitive matches however) with a dedicated GPU in it.
