Help me Overclock my 5400 not Black Edition

Whenever i bring the Fsb up from 200 to anywhere from 202 and up when i run windows the screen just blacks and thats it so could someone help me get it to like 3.2ghz at least i also have vista 64-bit and i have a huge heatsink and fan, so can anyone help?-Thanx
 
KS, might be able to help you but will need more information.
Like what are your system specks (ie... memory,mobo,hard drive)
Memory timings.We'll see if we can at least get you started on a mild over-clock.
 
First step in overclocking an Athlon64 or x2 by the reference clock is to turn down your HyperTransport multi. Start by going from 5x to 4x and keep an eye on it in CPU-Z. You dont want your HyperTransport going over 1000Mhz. Dont worry about it being below that, many benchmarks have shown HT links as slow as 300Mhz still performing just fine.

You may also have to play with your memory divisor, depending on A) how good your memory is and B) how high you get the reference clock up to.
