CPU: Q6600 2.40ghz
Motherboard: Asus p5kc

So im a 16 year old dude who wants to overclock his CPU Pentium (Q6600) with a p5kc Motherboard to 3.00ghz, I know there are maaaaaany threads to that combo
but i just can't find a good one. I've been looking for the entire day, but i always fail with the overclocking which brings me to an blackscreen at the end.
So my question is, can anybody tell me what exact settings i need to OC my CPU to 3.00 ghz. (I do have a arctic cooler the so temp should not be a problem).

Im so sorry for writing such a awful thread this is my first time ever posting something in a forum i apologize.

Solution
You have your cooling, next raise your woltage to about 1.4V. Then raise your FSB speed to 333. Run Prime 95 to check for stability while monitoring temperature (<80*C). It should be good. Then lower voltage until P95 starts to have problems. raise voltage 1 step and you're done. There are 2 Q6600. One is the older B3 stepping SL9UM, and the other is the newer G0 stepping SLACR. It akes less power and can run a bit faster. Those letters should be on the CPU. A SLACR should be good up to 3.6GHZ or so.
