Help me pick a CPU [AMD only]

Was first wondering if the 8350 would work in my 760 GM p23 FX motherboard, just for a month so I can upgrade to a 970A MSI gaming board.

If not, what processor should I go with that works but provides a good experience for me? Going to be playing things the like of skyrim, batman arkham knight, general open worldy games for the most part.

Trying not to spend TOO much, around the price of a 6300-8350?

Both 6300 or 8350 will work.. If you overclock i would not recommend MSI 970 boards.. they have bad vrm issues. If you dont overclock msi should be fine.

Yes you can put the FX 8350 in your motherboard. Would be a solid choice. As cheap as your motherboard is though, you can't overclock on it.

It wouldn't cause any issues? I heard it's got issues with the power not being enough or something?

The 8350 isn't on the compatibility list for that board and only support processors up to a max TDP of 95w. The highest end CPU you can go with is the 8320e/8370e.

Okay so swapping out the mobo what cpu should I go with? Maybe a budget 50$ mobo and the 6300?

You wouldn't need a new board if you were to go with a 6300 or any other 95w TDP CPU.

6300 is a temp cpu to let me be able to use my computer, getting the mobo too so that I can upgrade to an 8350 and give my brother my 6300 since I'm building and giving him my old parts to build his computer. Obviously the plan went awry because my 4300 broke, but, yeah. Which is why I thought of getting a new mobo with the 6300 just temporarily.

Speaking of which, what are some good cheap mobos?

You could go with 6300 if your only gaming.. if you do any editing i suggest 8350 since it will utilize more cores, but yea you should be fine.
