Hi There,

Building a new rig..... AMD FX 6300... Corsair VS 450 or 550 Watts PSU. I am strict on budget can you please help me pick a good graphic card from here - snapdeal.com or flipkart.com I can't go more then 5000 INR may be 100-200 bucks more; but that sit. I won't give prices in USD or Pound mainly because price difference between India and other countries is huge.

Till now, I believe Sapphire Amd Radeon R7 240 1Gb Gddr5 Graphic Card With Boost looks best for my budget. If there's anything better within this price I will go for it. Kindly, do not tell my to increase my budget already dragged it 1500INR more.

I mainly work as a freelancer and will be doing very light gaming. Old school games mostly =) So want to save money. My screen is 720P right now, may switch to 1080P but I can sacrifice on quality by switching to low settings on games and just want to save money.

I will be rich after a year and will get a high end graphic card that time lol. So, help me out!

Hey AmitojSingh!

I understand your issue. Difficult to make a recommandation around 5000 rupees.
The only card with an amazing value for money ratio out there is quite a bit more expensive: the 7770 goes for 7399 rupees (Sapphire as well).
This is much more powerfull, maybe you can find a used one somewhere since that card has been out there for 18 months? 😉
The GT 640 recommanded by Toms is not much of a deal at more than 6200rupee I think.

So yes, if you cannot afford a 7000rupee card and are not ready to buy it used, go for the R7 240 I'd say.

Cheers,

Smallfilou

PS. Forget the gt750, way above budget and designed for low power, I don't think you need this!

I would not do that if I were you. Your FX6300 is quite powerfull enough as a CPU and even the r7 240 will outclass the 6600k..
Either you wait a bit for prices to go down (20nm release should be within 6 months) or you buy yourself a graphics card.

Maybe a used 5750 or similar can do the trick as well (will be more powerfull than any integrated graphics)?

Actually, I am a freelancer and I do a lot of hectic web research and use google docs+skype+microsoft office at once. Even outlook with all this sometimes. But I have no clue if FX 4300 will be able to handle this all well. Benchmarks show difference but I guess real world scenarios are different. And like I said before I want to do very light gaming ... till now I have only played counter strike, IGI2, GTA Sandandreas, Prince of persia 2 thrones, nfs hot persuit, hitman blood money I only get 3-4 hours to play at weekend and I would like to play these kind of games only =) To me I believe CPU matters more as main need is work, gaming is secondary. What's your advice?

Unfortunately, that particular model isn't available here :/ I am from India

Can you give me the link? I just checked and it costs more then 7770 and that's completely out of what I can afford or are you talking about ddr3 version?

Any recommendations on this one - http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-radeon-r7-250-boost-2gb-ddr3-2-gb-graphics-card/p/itmdqz82fnep7czg?pid=GRCDQZ82FNEP7CZG&otracker=from-search&srno=t_3&query=sapphire+amd%2Fati+radeon+r7+240+with+boost+1+gb+ddr5+graphics+card&ref=cf1b85ae-2bb1-4d58-baad-5e26cd8ba0d1

Because, if I get to increase my budget, I just want 2-3 alternatives...

Can any one please give me 2-3 more alternatives which are not too far away from the budget. May be 700-1000INR more and what will be the improvement? Will it be worth?

This costs 1000 more, is this worth it? Need 2-3 alternatives to r7 240..not too far way from the price bracket this one is one of the cheapest sites in India - snapdeal.com

Just found few links please help me asap
Gainward NVIDIA GeForce® GT 630 1024MB Graphics & Display Card GDDR5 128 bits

Which one of these are better then r4 270? Pali GTx 650 is on bid and I might have to wait. Or I can grab it for 6400 INR.... Or I can grab Gainward GTX 630 in 5470 and probably 200INR discount too. So what to do in the case?

I am sure you won't be disappointed. You will be able to play most games FHD (that's what I do with my 7770) with settings medium/high.

Gives you at least 1 more year or 2 before upgrading to the ultimate gaming rig ;-)
