I want a laptop for video editing and office work. Of course, a bigger battery life is a plus. I have found two laptops but I still don't know which one to pick. Please make your choice and tell me why should I pick it. Which one has the best battery life, and which one has a better cooling system, because I might use it (plugged, of course) under full load, for continuous periods of time like 6-8 hours for HD video editing.

1.) HP Pavilion 17: i7-4702MQ, 8 GB 1600 MHz, 1 TB 5400 rpm, Intel HD 4600, Radeon HD 8670M (2 GB).
2.) HP Pavilion G6: i7-3632QM, 8 GB 1600 MHz, 1 TB 5400 rpm, Intel HD 4000, Radeon HD 7670 M (2 GB)
3.) Lenovo G500: i7-3632QM, 4 GB 1600 MHz, 500 GB 5400 rpm, Intel HD 4000, Radeon 8570M (1 GB).
4.) Lenovo Z500: i7-3632QM, 6 GB 1600 MHz, 1 TB 5400 rpm, Intel HD 4000

I would buy the HP Pavilion 17, as it has better specs, but I don't know how it can handle the heat and I don't know which one has a better battery life. Do you know if these models have optional extended batteries? I couldn't find anything about it on Lenovo and HP websites...

1. 5400 rpm will drastically impinge on video work
2. Video Editing likes CUDA, AMD cards don't support CUDA
3. 4GB of RAM will make video editing extremely slow and 8 GB is no great shakes either

Frankly, each of them won't do video editing very well because of the above shortcomings

Unless you want to do 6-8 hours if video work in 10 - 14 hours, I think you want at least a i7-4720HQm, GTX 970M, 16 GB and 7200 rpm HD or SSD + HD
