Hello,

I want to buy a new laptop, but there is just too much to choose from. I want it to last 5-6 years and i am willing to spend 2500$ on it. I can't make up my mind among the MSI Dominator Pro GT72, the SAGER np9772-s ( i like this one because it has the core i7-4790k in it) and the ASUS laptops (but i can't choose which one). I want it to have the gtx 980m with 8gb VRAM, a good design and good audio. Also i do not care about battery life, will be plugged in most of the time.

Anyone care to help me please?

Thank you

Out of the 2 go for either sagar or asus.

Asus is a knowns brand when it comes to gaming and has very good cooling and is generally reliable.

Sagar is less known but I have heard good things about them.

The choice will be up to you if you want a known brand that everyone knows about (asus) or if you want more upgradability as sagars generally are more upgradable than asus laptops.

Of course this assumes desktops are completly out of the question, including smal form factor pc.

Finally, it is very rare that a laptop lasts 5 years when gaming, the performance will decrease in time no matter how good the laptops is whereas desktops don't.

Also something to think about, what is the point of a laptop being plugged in pretty much 24/7 when a desktop does the exact job but miles better?

Well the gaming is just a bonus, i play Dota most of the time, but if i want to play something more demanding i can do it easily. You were right about the last part never the less, but everywhere i go there are plugs, i want to have a monster with me everywhere i go.

To be honest i want it to be very fast, that includes those pcie speed devils with more than 900 mb/s read/write, a good design (not plastic) and somewhat good speakers.

The gpu is just a bonus for me, a very big one.

So let me get this right, you are not really a gamer but you want a high end gpu? Will you be using this for heavy cad or video editing?

The reason why I ask this is because if you want a laptop that is fast, you might as well get an ultrabook that has a very good ssd with 16 gigs of ram.

Let me know if this is the case.

Meh, you got me questioning myself what do i want :/

I am a gamer, but i do not play COD or anything that intensive. Turns out all i want is a good design, to be fast, good speakers, runs cool and i can use the gpu if i run something harder.

Those laptops i mentioned earlier are expensive and now i think it is not worth to me :/

Do you have any other ideas?
Any suggestions about other laptops?
