Help me pick some Low Cost Speakers for my Monitor (To be used for my Xbox One)

So I have been using my monitor that I use for my pc and I also use it for my Xbox One. I have been using these crappy earbuds from my phone and I am wanting to get some speakers so I don't always have to wear them. I have Logitech G930's for my pc but since they are wireless I cant use them with the X1.

I don't really want to pay much like a $50 budget? Idk if thats very reasonable.

I have been looking at these seem to have good reviews, good sound quality etc for $40 speakers.

(A question I have is that will it work if I use a 3.5mm cable to plug into the 3.5mm port on my monitor and then plug the other end into the speakers 3.5mm jack to get the sound through the speakers?)

Personally, for under fifty bucks, I'd go with the Genius SW-G2.1. Some models might be out of stock right now but that's not unusual though right after Christmas. Any products that are great for the price usually get really scarce this time of the year.
