Help me pick tablet for a gift

Hello, I couldn't find a Tablet section, so I am writing in the system one.

I want to give a tablet to my parents. They are not computer literate at all, but they can manage it. I need something easy to pck up and of good quality. I am looking in the 300$ bracket maximum.

My mom wants to take pictures and I would like to have something for video in 1080p. Myfatheris playing some simple games like solitaire and such.

Any suggestion? No apple and a SD or microSD card reader would be a huge advantage.
