Solution
Videos? As in movies or clips from the web? I f clipes from the web, might try a different browser and make sure you have the latest versions of your video software (i.e. Adobe flash player), if gaming is OK, it shouldn't be your PSU, but w/ your GPU, the 6870, I normally recommend at least a 600 watt PSU

Ok do the following, play your video on different players, VLC - media player classic and something else your choice.

Check if you get freeze on all 3. If it is only on one of them, then it means a registry associated with the software is damaged.

If it freezes on all 3 of them, do the following install GPU-z and click on the small question mark near "bus interface" this will launch a small rendering to stress you GPU, while it is running go to sensors and print screen for us.

Do a quick registry cleanup using wisecare365 or kingsoft pcdoctor.

These were for software. Now for hardware. Generally hw side blue screen and random freeze come from either HDD or Memory, some times from graphics card but that is rare it only happens when the PCI-e port itself is down. But since you do not have any problem while gaming, lets go with memory and HDD.

Ok so if you have multiple HDD, unplug all except your main drive then try again.

For memory, if you have multiple modules remove all of them and start testing again with only one of each at a time to find any faulty ram as some times memtest may not find the faulty ram for you manually testing is good, but you can also do memtest while doing this manual test.

Then give us a feedback at each point of these tests where you get the freeze, please take as much time as needed to do these tests.
