Yes you can use a 6th gen CPU on a 200 series board but not a 7th gen on a 100 series due to the bios not being updated on most boards.

But the answer is yes, it will work.

You can use 7 series processors on 100 series motherboards, you just update the BIOS via USB or by downloading a simple .exe from the mobo site.
