I would suggest you remove anything you put in to make it stop working.

I did not put anything in to make it stop working. All i done this Put the Motherboard & that in the new case

Recheck all the connectors. If the system does not power on at all it could be a short. Just recheck all the connectors and be sure the MB is correctly installed with the risers keeping the board from touching your case. Make sure the the power on lead from the power on button is connected to the right power on header on the MB.

You lie!

It was working(Or so you claim) until you put the 768mb of ram in it. Sounds like your problem is the HP motherboard and the New case. Put everything back into the HP Pavilion case and I bet problem solved.

If the case you moved all your parts to is not an HP case I would suspect the new case. I'm betting that HP didn't use the same pin layout for their power on/HDD led connectors as the new case has.

that's not what your initial post said. you said you put it all together and it was working, then you put more ram in it and now it's not working.

it doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess that you messed it up when you put in the new ram.

oohhh, good answer. might be it.

although i'm wondering why he's putting an HP into a new case. that's kinda like getting the engine of a Yugo and putting it into a viper chassis.

Most HP/Compaq PC's use a different pin arrangement on their powersupplies for their Motherboards. So if your PSU dies you have to pay top dollar for one of their refurbed ones. I ran into this at my last job several times. You need the old PSU or a new motherboard, if it didnt fry from turning it on.

Sorry but the sad truth is big manufactures want you to use their stuff and have to buy their replacement parts. They are standardized only with their own hardware.

Do you know where or if i can get a Motherboard replacement for my HP Computer

From HP, that is it. You usally have to pair an HP powersupply with an HP motherboard in most cases. My buddy had a new motherboard and powersupply in his old HP pavilion case.

He calls it his sleeper PC. An old Pavilion case with a 600W PSU and a Core2 e6600. HAHA everyone thinks it's junk.
