ok guys i have a new problem. i'm rebuilding my system, here are the specs

Biostar TA790GX-A2
4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHZ (2x2048)=8gb
AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition 4MB Socket AM2+
2x Sony 20X DVDRW SATA Retail
2x120MM Case Fan (1 rear, 1 front)
650 Watt 20/24 Pin ATX Power Supply w/SATA
Barracuda 250gb SATA 7200rpm Drive
5x 80mm Crystal Blue Led (2xside window, 2xbottom, 1xtop)
RaidMax XForce Gaming Case Black

I was wondering how do I set up the airflow. Which way do I face the fans?

ideally you want an even number with the same amount of fans blowing in and out to get the most air moving through your case as possible. If you can't have the same number going out and in, then have more blowing in than out.

HELLO

Hot air usually goes up and gold comes down...

1. in case upper corner is usually exhaust fan blowing out. There is place for 120mm exhaust fan.

2. In your case there is also 120mm front fan that is mounted onto unique hard drive cage.

Each fan has a label, which way does the label face?

Fans are usually manufactured so that the air flow
will not cause dust to lodge in the bearing: so,
the air should flow AWAY from the exposed bearing,
not TOWARDS the exposed bearing.

Buy a cheap AT-style PSU with its own power switch,
for testing: these are nice to have around when
assembling new components.

I agree. If you can't afford PII x4, then get the x3 720, it will be faster than the 9950BE in just about every application, except maybe video encoding. I was under the impression that you already had the parts and were in the process of building, but if you can make changes then I would do that.
