Today I opened up my Logitech G25 to replace my broken optical encoder. But after reassembly the steering wheel seems like it wants to calibrate (like turning 10 degrees to the right every 10 or so seconds) but never does. What did I do wrong? The drivers are freshly installed.

Solution
Are you sure you put it back together correctly, specifically making sure the slider was lined up in the center? I had to rescrew in one of the motors that got loose in my G27. I still have it as a backup wheel, but learned to turn down the force feedback settings as these wheels just aren't as beefy as others for things like handling rough roads in DiRT and crash impacts like my Thrustmaster T300 is (which is belt driven, not gear driven, and not nearly as jerky).

See the bottom few photos of this link. Good luck: http://jlvrh.de/G27_UK.htm

Solution
Yeah I found that link and fixed that today.. Thanks for the link. Maybe the motors died? Or maybe the optical encoder is slipping on the shaft? It is made of metal but a snug fit.. I am a bit lost..
