Hey guys.
Basically, a friend of mine gifted me his old vega 56 because he sold his rig and it was laying around his house for a while, so I got it.
Now, he said the card worked a year ago, but now it is giving me troubles.
I installed it, and it boots. Strange artifacts on the screen, but I had the same thing going on with other gpu before installing the drivers.
Now here comes the problem. I ran DDU, got rid of all my previous drivers, and installed the vega 56 one's. It says ''installation successful'' but then, when I try to open the radeon panel, it says '' no driver is installed or the amd driver isn't working correctly''
In windows manager, there is a yellow triangle, and if you look in device managed it says error 43 ''the device isn't working properly because it has a problem'' or something like that.
Both gpuz and aida 64 recognize the card as a vega 56, so it is a real card, but it says it is clocked a 400mhz for some reason.
Things I tried to resurrect it:
Flashing the vbios------Reseating the gpu in the pcie slot------DDU and reinstall multiple times------checked the power supply------open it and repaste.
Is there something else I can try to save the card, or I have to sell it for parts?
Any possible solution? Might trying it in my brother system tomorrow
