Hello everyone. First of all I want you to know I have 2 different miss match Ram sticks [on a budget and the Hyper X Ram is out of stock] So I want to set the timings right.
My PC boots up correctly but I think the new Ram stick has downclocked my Hyper X with it.
My Kingston hyper X Ram is 1600mhz at 10-10-10-30 with Command Rate 1T
However, I bought additional 4gb of Ram [Kingston KVR16N11S8/4] and now my System ram is clocked at 11-11-11-30 2T. I want to turn it back to 10-10-10-30 is it possible?
My motherboard is MSI Z77MAG45. I checked in the bios and there is this "RAM TIMING MODE" which is set to [AUTO] then there is "Link" and "Unlink. I have no idea what to choose.
in Ram timing advanced options I see the available ram timings. [will setting it back to 10-10-10-30 1T destabilize my PC?] or will it cook my ram? thanks
