hi,
I have recently moved into a rental property and I am looking to get wifi. I have looked into getting a pocket wifi but for the amount of internet I use it would be best so I have been told to go for a modem instead. The house I have moved into does'nt have telephone sockets in the wall or anything along those lines so I was basically wondering if anything could help me. Is there a way to set up a wifi modem without putting sockets into the wall or is there something that acts as a sort of middle man?
Sorry I'm not very tech savvy so please be patient with me.
Thanks!

You would probably be better off setting up a day to have a telephone or cable company set up some lines in your home. You could do something like have them run two lines for coaxial, or have them run a few telephone lines which might be cheaper. They normally charge about $50 per run with a small activation charge. You could get something like this http://www.earthlink.net/wireless-internet/ but you still have a limit since it works like a wireless hot spot. Like I probably use like a terabyte worth of internet every month, so limits aren't an option for me.

I've done some research and I've found a place that sell adapters which plug into your normal power outlet to give you the sockets I need to set up wifi :)

oh yeah ofcourse. It's a long weekend and I am currently at work so I've only been looking online but during the week I'm going to go and speak to someone in the shop and ask them what would be best. The place I'm living in is a rental property so I'm trying to refrain from creating anything permanent in the home.
