i want to upgrade my pc well because I want to use it for gaming. i want to get a new motherboard for more ram because my current one is ddr2 and can’t go higher than 4gb of ram. i also want a better psu so i can get a good graphics card. i would want a micro atx mobo that can go up to at least 16 gb of ddr3 and socket am3/am3+. a psu that would be around 450 watts. i’m on a budget so i would want to spend 125-150

AM3+ motherboards and processors for them are not in production for long time now, you are restricted to used parts or may to pay too much if you find new. All MBs for them, even mATX can use 16GB and more DDR3 RAM.
PSU should be chosen in accordance with new GPU.

That is not going to be easy with that budget. Best advice I can give is ignore DDR3. You want an AM4 system with DDR4.

Below are all new parts as an example, and an option if you can spend a little more. Just look for a used AM4 motherboard and a used CPU like a Ryzen 5 3600/2600. If you find one with memory and a CPU fan all the better.

Can't really say what PSU to look for on the used market, prices are all over the place. And most plus shipping cost as much as a new one.

Here is someone selling the core of a system, but a little over priced:

In regards to the parts list, the CPU will include the stock AMD CPU cooler, which is good enough.

You could spend $20 or so on a ThermalRight Assassin X 120. Best bang for the buck cooler new or used really.
