I can't find these two motherboard different?
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA & MSI Z170A MPOWER GAMING TITANIUM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=ROG%20hero&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1%7C13-130-937%5E13-130-937%2C13-132-699%5E13-132-699&percm=13-132-699%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24

I only find the DDR4 memory support different on there webside.

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA only Dual DDR4 3800 (OC) support
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-VIII-HERO-ALPHA/

MSI Z170A MPOWER GAMING TITANIUM supports DDR4-3866+(OC) Memory
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z170A-MPOWER-GAMING-TITANIUM.html#hero-overview
only this?
which of these two motherboards would you choose?

Solution
I will choose the MPOWER GAMING.
first reason:
Mpower GAMING have backplate , so you can use the best and coolest VGA & CPU cooler without MB broken.
but HERO ALPHA not.

HERO ALPHA

Second reason:
Mpower GAMING have armor , Offer better slot strength, EMI-shielding and even better signal for optimal performance. but HERO ALPHA not.

third reason:

Mpower GAMING have two M.2 , can build the M.2 SSDs in Raid 0.
but HERO ALPHA not, because this motherboard only support one M.2 slot.

I'd go the Asus, I have the regular Hero with a 6600K and have been looking at the Hero Alpha for a 6700K build. I won't use MSI for personal or client builds due to their poor QC (quality control). I get more trouble calls that end up being their mobos than any 2 other manufacturers put together 😉

you means ASUS QC better than MSI? so choose the ASUS?
