Help me with a Crash error please

Hey guys,

I get an error that looks like this and i dont know how to fix it:


The instruction at "0x77efc968" referenced memory at "0x77efc968" could not be written.

Click Ok to terminate the progarm
Click Cancel to Debug the program

I always click cancel but it doesnt so anything. Can someone help me with this?

When are you getting the error, whats your OS, and do you have an AV and firewall?

yeah, a lil background like... oh... what OPERATING system perhaps?

it's like me walking to a mechanic and saying, i hear a sound like EEEE!!.

he's going to ask, what are you DOING when it makes that sound?
sitting still? driving? turning?

My guess is its XP ... and from what ive seen in the past that is either a software issue or faulty ram...

Does it do this at any particular stage or just randomly?

You are rigt its Windows XP SP 2 and it mostly happens when im playing a game. The game crashes with that code. By the way, is there such thing as software "rot" in other words after being used for a while it gets a little more rusty. Same question applies to hardware "Rot"

I dont know about your "rot" buisness

However, make sure you have most up-to-date drivers and most recent update for the game... if it continues try running a memtest to see if its your RAM memtest86+ dos bootable is the best to use.
