So, i'm here to ask about my component compabitilities since this is my first time building a pc, ill get some help off my mates if it gets too hard to me so that shouldn't be a problem to fill up the components into my Fractal Design R4.
So anyways, heres my components that ive found for my pc:
CPU I'd like to get: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2
GPU Would be the: R9 280x
Motherboard: Yeah this is what i've been having some problems with, i'm not gonna be overclocking as u might have noticed my intel xeon, some told me that Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Intel B85 So.1150 Dual Channel DDR3 mATX Retail wouldn't do it's job? Just comment me about that please
RAM: 2x4gbs Corsair vengeance ddr3 1600mhz and its 1.5v.
Hard Drive would be; 2000GB Seagate Desktop HDD ST2000DM001 64MB 3.5 "(8.9cm) SATA 6 Gb/s and additionally i'd get a Samsung 120gb SSD for my windows 7 and a couple of games.
CPU cooler: Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev.A (BW) Tower Cooler heard that it'll do its job and its not expensive. Though i dont know much about intel xeon and how it heats up but yeah.. comment me ;)
PSU: I'd be willing to get like 550w if that's enough?

Solution
A lot of the R9 280X cards are hard to find right now. Why not go in a different direction:

ASUS Z87-K, LGA1150, Intel® Z87
INTEL Core™ i7-4770 Quad-Core 3.4 - 3.9GHz TB, HD Graphics 4600, LGA1150, 8MB L3 Cache, DDR3-1600
CRUCIAL 8GB (2 x 4GB) Ballistix Sport PC3-12800 DDR3 1600MHz CL9 1.5V SDRAM DIMM, Non-ECC
EVGA GeForce® GTX 770 w/ ACX Cooler 1046-1065MHz, 2GB GDDR5 7010MHz, PCIe x16 SLI, DP + HDMI + 2x DVI
SAMSUNG 120GB 840 EVO Series SSD
SEAGATE 1TB Barracuda®, SATA 6 Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 64MB cache
COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus 600W Power Supply

By switching to an i7, you have more cash to throw at extra RAM, a quality PSU, and a better ATX board. What do you think?

Xeons are nice, but in most cases not needed. You can still get quad cores with an i5 or an i7, and fast processing speeds, and with the money you save, you can throw it at more RAM (I'd get at least 8GB).
