Help me with GPU and PSU ...

I have recnlty bought a VS450 watt Psu ...I live in india and here the price is very high cmpred to US. I want to buy a Graphics Card.So i went to a shop nearby and asked them if they had 7750 . They asked abt my mother board and said that since my mobo is pcie 2.0 . It wont work properly ... Is that true guys? 🙁
I have a Asus p7h55,-mlx mobo...please can any help me?
Also will 7770 work in pcie and vs450??

My specs-
i3 530
2 gb ddr3
500 gb sata
Asus p7h55mlx mobo
HD 4350
Crappy monitor wid 1024 x 768 ; )

No, all the pci express 3.0 gpus are backwards compatible and should work fine with pcie 2.0 motherboards. The performance difference is not even 5% if any.
Pci express 3.0 would require you to change your motherboard and your cpu to third generation intel i5/i7 so no point in doing that. Get the hd7750 your current psu should support it if it supports the hd4350 since the hd7750 only draws about 43w maximum.

Edit- Vs 450 should also be able to handle the hd7770 soundly so you may go for that. Although, the hd7750 is more than good enough for your resolution

Just one question..my friend has same specs of mine with a4350 but running on a cheap 450w psu with 16a on 12 v... please say that will 7750 work on his system?
 


yes its true it draws less power than the hd4350 only 43w maximum load
