[SOLVED] help me with mac os x keyboard not working

so i got a powerbook g4 17 inch and it came with a password so i reset the os and when it started up it came up with that welcome video and setup so i did the setup than when i had to type in the wifi password it wouldn't let me so i continued with ethernet until i had to make an account and the same problem keyboard beeps on every key pressed exept function like volume... i tryed with a usb keyboard the same thing also tryed removing the laptop keyboard and using only usb still same and before i reset the os it worked just fine help oh and its running mac os x 10.5.8 i know this mac and os are old but i just want it to work

If the keys 'beep' when you press them, and the same happens with a USB keyboard, the chances are it's the key mapping file has either been removed or damaged/corrupted; have you tried booting into safe mode? also do you have the original OS X install disks?
