Im also thinking of getting This monitor: Asus VE248H 24" LCD Monitor VE248H

is there any way i can make this better without making it more expensive or if i've gone a bit over the top

also any suggestion for cool gadgets to go with all of this would be nice

if i can ask what will u be doing on this pc cause the 3770k is to much for gaming and so is the gtx 690 if all ur going to do is 1 screen i can see that maybe with 3 monitors

I'm going off the fact that this is probably a gaming PC, so try this build instead. You can get cheaper cases that are actually better in terms of cooling, but cases are personal preference, so I kept the one that you picked.

The PSU, is much larger than what you would need like this, but if you ever decide to add another 7970 and overclock both of them, and the CPU, you would have enough.

The Thor V2 is a well-reviewed full tower if you are stuck on huge.

If you don't mind a large mid tower I like my 500R

All very nice cases. My personal favorite is the antec, but they are all very, very nice cases.

I've been looking at the corsair obsidian 650D but i dont know if it will fit all of these components?

It would fit everything, but why would you spend so much on a mid tower? They make full towers that start around $100, and you can some really nice full towers any in between $100 and $200.
