I need some help for a build:

Things I'm going to do/want to do:

Play games like COD/BF3 flawlessly with high FPS on high graphics.
Stream Games with no performance impact on games (When I stream with my PC currently, it lowers my FPS in game)

Budget:

Around $1000 range.
Looking to buy in the next 1-2 months.

Case: I'm currently using the HAF 912. I feel like this is sufficient and is in my price range.

CPU: I was thinking of getting an i7, but I'm not sure which tier.
I know people said you only need 4 cores for gaming, but I would like the extra processor speed when I'm not gaming also.

Cooling: Maybe just a CPU cooler or one of those fans with the radiator attached to it.

Storage: 128GB SSD (This is enough for me)

Graphics: I Need some advice here. I have heard that SLI of two cards are usually better and cheaper than a single higher tier/expensive card.

MOBO: What MOBO is a good pick for me? I want to get a cheap one, but at the same time I don't want to skip out on a crucial part if this is important and have it bring down my performance.

Network Card: Is this a must when gaming?

PSU: Will decide after I pick which video card to get. I will get a modular PSU though.

Ram: 8GB is good enough for me. (question: if I stream would I need more than 8GB?)

Yes, two 650 Ti Boosts will top the 7970 Ghz Edition and 680.

And nuthin comes close in performance per dollar in single card configuration

You will see a lot of postings about SLI / CF problems usually based upon what someone "read on the internet"

have a laugh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmx4twCK3_I

But it's quite clear that the reviewer here didn't have any of those problems and neither have I. Yes, ya sometimes got to wait a while when a new game beta comes out for an SLI profile but I can manage 2 or 3 weeks.

If need be, get 1 now and another later when ya have more cash

MoBo - SLI capable Asus P8Z77-V LK

Network card is "on the mobo".

RAM - Corsair 2 x 4Gb DDR3-1600 CAS 9 1.35 volt, low profile

Corsair TX650 V2 $61

Question:

Can the GTX 650 ti SLI or does it have to be "Boost"

Sorry I think I didn't state my question about the Network card clearly. ---- Are there upgraded network cards that people buy thats dedicated to gaming that will be better than the MOBO stock one.

Thanks

Hi derekc5475!

I would not recommend getting after-market network cards, as there will be almost no noticeable effect on the latency of the online game that you're gaming. Save the money and get a better Internet Service Provider.

That said, check out this site which specializes in gaming network cards.

Thanks for the answers guys.
Been reading about cheap vs expensive motherboards.

Should I be getting the one posted above or one in the $2xx tier becauase a lot of people are saying that you should not skim out on the MOBO if you're going to SLI.

Thanks guys

The motherboard that JackNaylorPE posted up is fine. You don't need to spend $200 on a premium board unless you decide to pump up everything else. Save your money so that in a few years time, you have some to upgrade. Even the $200 boards won't be big talk in a few years.
