HELP me with my gaming rig

I am currently using a Intel Q6600 2.4ghz I want to upgrade but I want a CPU that uses a lga775 socket to fit my mobo any ideas ?

The fastest 775 cpu is i believe the Q9700 extreme edition, but the real best ones now are Q9650 or Q9550S. But that doesnt matter at all since they are terribly overpriced, have no upgrade path, and you wont see much of a difference over the Q6600 if its oc'ed.

Look on the motherboard manufactures website and it will have a cpu support list (assuming you have a retail board). 775 support is a mixed bag without knowing what motherboard you have we can't tell you what cpus it supports. I would only suggest upgrading if it's cheap as there is not much point in upgrading an old system unless the upgrade is cheap.
