help me with my new pc

just got a new pc trying to join pc master race as a former console gamer anyhow my pc fps on any current game ive played is lucky to hit 20 fps on lowest setting my pc cost over $1000 and when i called the place i bought it they told me to buy a gtx 1080 but my current build should game fine as is my specs are

western blue 1tb sata3 hdd 64m caviar blue wd10ezex
thermaltake black versa mid tower chassis and 500w psu (usb3)
windows 10 home 64bit
intell core i5 6400 quad core lga 1151 2.7ghz
geforce gtx 960 g1 gaming 4gb
only 1 crucial 4gb ddr4 2133mhz 512x8 cl 15
asus b150m-a matx

firewatch and far cry 3 cant get over 19 fps on lowest setting

That's the problem. Add another 4GB of RAM.

apparently if you plug your hdmi cable into motherboard and not your gtx 960 grahpic card you be using the onboard graphic card opps

I was a console peasant as well. I'm planning to ascend to the PC Master Race next year. Until now, I am still using a laptop with GTX 850M. Waiting to finally feel the true feeling of becoming the Master Race. Wish me luck next year!
