Two days back bought a samsung 970 evo plus 500gb nvme m.2 today i installed it on my mobo (Asus TUF Z390 plus gaming wifi) but the problem is my bios sometimes detects it and sometimes doesn’t. When bios detects the nvme an extra option appears in bios regarding pcie m.2 raid which i enabled.

I was able to install windows in it but when tried to install gpu driver faced BSOD.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is??

Pc config:
Intel i7 8700
Gskill 8gb x2 3000MHz
Rx 580 8GB
Updated bios to the latest version available 3006.

How many drives do you have and what all are you trying to run in raid mixed drives don't pair well in raid heads up this is why they recommend a raid cage that's fully configured and setup with the same drives.

Okay that maybe part/one of the problem your having you just said raid appeared and you enabled. So now your PC is trying to run raid.... and has no idea how to do so or what to completely do since it never had a raid configuration developed. The first step you will want to take if raid is still enabled if we can get you back up and running is disable raid and reinstall windows without it.

To start let's see if we can't get you up and running fully with the nvme reading correctly.
With the pc "100%" shutoff unplug you psu from the power cable @ the psu not outlet but making sure the plug in is fully unplugged never hurts either. Then with psu unplugged remove the lithium battery from the mobo, we'll both are removed from the system hold you power button on the case for 30s x2's. Then reseat the lithium battery followed by psu... from there boot straight the the bios if you can check that the nvme is there and not running in raid. If so shut the pc off fully yet again about three or four time checking g each time that the nvme appears from here if the nvme is constantly showing you should be good to go if not please let me k ow and we'll see what we can find out

It didnt solve the issue
Its solved what happened is that before installing the nvme i cleaned my pc and somehow my 8pin EPS or 24pin EATX connector got loose as a result my mobo was struggling to get stable 3.3v which i noticed later that i was getting 2.8/2.9v in red
it was soved by reconnecting the EPS and Eatx connector.

Thank you so much for your time and help.
