I'm getting this error in memtest86. However, I know of 3 other people getting the exact same error codes. Does anyone know anything about this. Normally one would think it would be bad ram. Possible a hardware issue. But for multiple pc's to come up with the same error I'm perplexed.

SEE HERE!!

Also, I ran windows memtest. Which from what I know is not quite as reliable as a bootable memtest. Reason I hear is because some memory is in use when you have the os up? Anyway the windows memtest ran without errors for 7 hours..

I wanna start oc'ing but I need to figure this out first.

Any input appreciated please.

You kind of answered your own question. Memtest is only fully reliable if you download the bootable ISO and create a boot CD than run memtest on boot up. Then you can be sure about your memory. Otherwise you are kind of wasting your time.

Thanks for the replies:)

I did create and run memtest86 from a bootable cd. In addition I ran windows memtest. No errors! The code above is the summary screen where memtest86 stops and a blue scree apears at the bottom with the errors on it.

My questions are.

How do multiple people with completely different setups get exactly the same errors? Also, what does that mean?

I ran Prime95 today for 2 hours on priority 10 torture test and received no errors. This should have shown me something if my system was unstable.

Yes. I tested one stick at a time in dim b-1 first. Then a-1 just to make sure.

2 hours of Prime95 is not enough to declare your system stable. People have seen Prime95 fail on the 24th hour, some had it stable for 67hours before failing. I recommend 6+hours

What do you mean" said the mobo gave out? Did it give out or was that just your conclusion?

Hit it on the nose with that question. That was my next step but I ran out of cd's. Low and behold I just picked up new cd's, booted memtest86+ and I"m now i'm my second successful pass.

I know it had to be some compatibility issue. Maybe with the dual core or something.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

I was getting similar errors earlier this week when I ran a new version of memtest. I ended up digging up an older version memtest and it ran overnight with no errors.
