I have a i7 9700k cpu
Rtx 2080ti
16gb ram
Monitor 1440p 144hz.
Minecraft fps at 140+
they can be above 200 fps easy
then drop to 0 fps for a second or two and build back up frames then drop again. sometimes every 10 seconds other times every 20 seconds at times every 5 seconds. Same issues if i have 12+ chunks, 6 or even 2 chunks. All settings set to fast.
1080p or 1440p both do the same thing. Both cpu and gpu load under 50% well depending on the settings. Temps also average. Around 120f or 50c
I tried a different gpu. My old gtx 1070 same issue i dont have any shaders

Solution
My best guess to your issue is your Graphics driver being outdated or corrupted.

To fix:
1. Download DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,19.html
A. Unzip the DDU application. Don't run it yet.

2. Download RTX 2080 Ti Graphics Driver: https://www.nvidia.com/content/Driv...international-dch-whql.exe&lang=us&type=TITAN

3. Press the Windows key then type "msconfig.exe" without quotes.
A. Click on the boot tab -> Click on Safe Mode -> Select network -> Apply.
B. Reboot.

4. Once your computer reboots, navigate to your downloads folder (or whichever directory you placed DDU) and run the application. Remove...

5. Press the Windows key then type "msconfig.exe" without quotes.
A. In the general tab, select "Normal Startup".
B. Apply then reboot.

6. Go to your downloads folder and install your Nvidia drivers.

It's unnecessary to disconnect from the internet as you should be able to install the drivers before they finish downloading. Even in the event that Windows installs the drivers, you can just upgrade them like you normally would when updating drivers.

Hope this helps!
