Help! Motherboard Concerns

Hi Guys!

I am looking to put together a new build but i am unsure as to which motherboard to get! The build is as follows:

I7 4790K
16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM
EVGA GTX 980 Ti SC+
OCZ SSD
ASUS Maximus VII Ranger Motherboard

My question is would the ASUS Maximus VII Ranger compliment this build or would it be better to look towards getting a more premium MOBO especially considering that i would be looking to SLI the machine quite quickly!

Any suggestions are more than welcome, wether its about the motherboard or not!!

I would classify ASUS Maximus VII Ranger as a premium motherboard.
Most Z97 are decent, it's down to the user choosing due to aesthetics or extra features.
A cheaper motherboard that will be fine would be ASUS Z97-A or ASrock Extreme 4.

I saying that there are many decent Z97 motherboards. The higher end may have more premium features that probably is overkill for most people. If you simply looking for a SLI motherboard with some decent overclocking, the Z97-A or Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 will be fine. The motherboards that cost higher than these are pretty much personal preference. If you prefer to have a red and black motherboard as well then you could go and spend it on the ranger.
It just depends on how much you willing to spend on a motherboard
