Hi all,

Let me first save you the time by saying "Yes I have looked on every single forum around". As the title states, im looking for the hole locations for an ATX motherboard. Locations for both mATX and regular ATX.

My Gigabyte Z97-D3H has an extra hole. It goes..

0 0

0 0 0
0 0

Which is nothing like what formfactors.org is releasing in their published standard. Not to mention, they have like 15 versions. Some of which don't even list hole locations on their diagrams inside the PDF. And they don't even list ATX on their website for the dropdown menu. They list mATX and every other standard. Poor website IMHO.

The last ATX version I read, i made a CAD print, compared it to my board. And found the extra hole was missing. Is gigabyte not following standards or is formfactors messing with me?

If anyone could provide some information of CURRENT ATX hole location standards, which applies to the Z97D3H and any board within the last 5 years, that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

This still doesnt make sense. My board has 7 holes WITH the "extra rotational" screw hole. The standard lists 9. I'm missing two screws from the ATX standard. Is Gigabyte following standards or nah

Update: I placed my board dimensions on top of the hole layout it A-cad. Turns out an entire column of holes isn't even hitting the board. The board only covers the first and second column. Please show me a motherboard that is using the ATX standard is with 3 columns. Thats a huge board.

It appears that gigabyte added an arbitrary hole. Although i'm sure it adheres to some formfactors standard somewhere in Narnia where it can only be found by a wizard who can find the exact pdf and cross reference 17 different pdfs together to get the right hole location.

So, that means, column 1 and 2 (starting from left) is on the Z97D3H. The third column is completely outside the dimensions of the board. And the last miscellaneous hole was added to the right of the middle row, column 2 hole.

Open for discussion.
