Question Help moving from HDD to SSD

So I just got a new 250GB SSD and I was wondering if there is any way to keep my OS (Windows 7) and music software I had previously installed such as Garritan CFX and Synthesia while keeping the old 2TB HDD as storage. I'm quite the noob on this aspect so a detailed answer would be helpful!

Samsung has a cloning tool that allows you to clone the HD to the new SSD - however IF you didn't partition your HD and create and OS partition, you may be out of luck if the partition with your OS is larger than your SSD - in that case you don't have many options.

The SSD I bought is a Kingston one and no I did not make new partitions, but say Im able to delete just enough to make it smaller than 250 GB...How world I go from there?
