Hello, last night a friend recommended to me editing the Boot>Advanced Options in MSCONFIG. I ticked the number of processors from 1 to the max (2) and I ticked the Maximum memory box and in putted "0" in the box. This then instantly changed to "256" before I clicked "Ok" then "Apply". This was intended to allow both of my processors to run windows and improve my BIOS boot up time.
This then causes a massive issue that restarts the PC unable to load windows and restarts again and again and again. Until windows recovery screen loads. I boot in safe mode and enter msconfig and I change my processer back from 2 to 1 and set my memory back to 8428 (Max). Restart and Im able to load normally but ever since then. Ive lost a GB since. I have 2 sticks of four GB ram and previously I was able to use 6GB and 2 was reserved for system. Now I am able to use 5 and 3 is reserved for system. Please help me fix my mess up.
Lightshot of my current MSCONFIG boot settings : http://prntscr.com/ieoyqk
Lightshot of my current RAM state: http://prntscr.com/iep05l
Some Basic PC Info:
http://prntscr.com/iep1gc
Thinking of restroing PC in order to fix this but as I have very little expertise in PC Software I do not know if that will resolve the issue and how I can recover that GB of RAM.
Thank you for your time.
