the GTX 460 is old but is still pretty good. A good upgrade would be the HD 7870. You get 2 free games as well !

GPU needs to change, which means that your PSU needs to change as well. I would suggest going for AMD GPU, in my opinion they are bang for the buck. If you have the money, i would recommend getting the R9 280X with a 650w of PSU or better (you DONT need at least 750w to run the card) But if you are sort of on a budget, get the R7 260X with a 500w PSU or greater.

Dont pick a cheap branded PSU, get the brand that you have currently but bigger Watts. Corsair can be trusted :)
Hope this helps!

I disagree with you. The R9 280x is definitely not worth. The GTX 770 which comes with 3 free games and have similar performance is a better deal.

And the Corsair CX430 is not rubbish nor is it very good. It's good and reliable. It can most probably handle up to the GTX 650 ti.

It's not always about the wattage , it's also about the amps on the 12v rail. You can take coolermaster's extreme / elite series power supplies as an example.

AMD's R7 / R9 series GPUs are not as good as Nvidia's latest bundles.

Actually , the R series GPUs are all rebranded versions with a little more features like Mantle. The R9 280x is a rebranded HD 7970. But the GTX 770 which has similar performance and 3 free games , is better.

R9 280X is cheaper. The GTX does beat the R9 280X specs by a little, but is that worth the extra 50+ bucks? I am aware of the game bundle, the thing is both of us are not sure about his budget, so if he is willing to spend the extra 50+ bucks on the GTX and PSU and get the free games then go for it. BUT if he is on a budget then i would suggest getting the R9 280X and a new PSU. With such a small performance difference i would doubt that you can see a big difference in frames. Considering these are the top of the line cards, you wont care how many FPS you will lose because of how much you will have to begin with.
