Hi all!
I am having a problem with my CPU temps. Currently it is idling at about 40c, but when put under load it’s going all the way to 85c! I have a Corsair H100i v2 to cool it and I’ve had it for about 3 years. For 2.5 years my CPU never got above 65c and it has slowly gotten hotter since then. I cleaned out my case, reapplied thermal paste, but nothing is working. Please help!

Corsair H100i v2

ASRock z87 extreme 4

Solution
First thing that you should do is check that the pump is powered properly. The H100i V2 is powered via the fan header and MUST get the full 12V at all times. If the fan header is set to DC mode with any kind of fan curve, it'll reduce the voltage. This will lead to issues.

The default installation is to install the cooler on the CPU_FAN header. Assuming that this is the case, then that's the fan header that you'll need to set to Full Speed.
