I just bought all new component and I'm using mobo gigabyte B550m ds3h, this is my first time building PC. I get out my mobo from it's plastic but i forgot that I am standing on carpet and touch the back of the mobo for about 4 seconds at first I didn't realize it until I installed CPU, ram, fan, and PSU and then when I try to power it on for the first time the RGB in my fan is light for one second then turned off and whole thing wouldn't turn on (only the RGB in my ram that is always on after I switched on the PSU). I already installed the 24 and 8 power pin in mobo and front panel. Is it possible that I shorted my mobo just by touching it on the back for 4 seconds and I'm standing on carpet without anti static wrist?? or there is any other solution??

Solution
First of all, please tell your full systems specification.

If I installed mobo by myself did I lost my warranty or not? I'm not dropping it or anything
No, you won't. As long as there is no damage clearly seen.

And have you try boot on GPU installed ? based on your motherboard, you built is Ryzen, some Ryzen series need GPU/VGA installed to boot.

I’ve built computers on carpet with no anti static straps and for the most part have never had one break due to static. I would say your motherboard had no damage from you touching it but what I would check is the front panel connections (those little connectors you connect to the pins on your board) I’ve had similar issues related to those not being properly connected make sure the positive and negative are correct the front panel connections will be labeled in the manual or sometimes on the board.

I already double checked it and I already look at the manual like in here : http://prntscr.com/t42uh3 for the front panel but still it wouldn't turn on. What I installed only motherboard, CPU, RAM, 3 fans, and PSU. I haven't installed any drives and VGA but it should can be power on just for checking isn't it? Or how about I return to the the shop where I purchased it and asked about the problems?

It should power up from just those items so likely one is bad I’m not great with troubleshooting but generally this issue is either psu, mobo, or ram because those fail more often than the cpu. If you want to take it back to the place where you purchased them and they are able to provide help that’s best as they likely have spare parts they could test with. One thing you could try is to take it out of the case and just have the mobo on its box and test it by jumping the power connectors with a screwdriver. But I would likely say the mobo went bad in your situation as this likely would sound different if it was a psu or ram issue.

If I installed mobo by myself did I lost my warranty or not? I'm not dropping it or anything I just installed it like usual the only problem was I touched the back of the mobo when I take out from the plastic and I'm forgot that standing on carpet I'm afraid if I shorted my motherboard and then it couldn't powered on. Oh yes one more thing, my installed RAM have RGB light and when I switched on PSU the RGB on RAM is light but when I pressed power button still couldn't turn on any of the fans. The problem I think it's whether PSU, front panel, power cable, RAM, or lastly the motherboard because only that what I already installed.

No, I haven't tried to boot it with GPU installed.

Here's my full spec :
Ryzen 5 3500
Gigabyte B550M DS3H
Team Delta RGB TUF DDR4 16GB KIT 3200
Asus GTX 1650 Super 4GB DDR6 OC
SSD Adata 240Gb
Enlight 500W Blacksilver
Enlight Flash Black
Fan Enlight ARGB 3 unit

Am I really need to install it with the GPU??

All ryzen series without "G" (ex : R5 2400G, R3 3200G etc) need GPU installed to boot. So you have VGA installed. Just give it a try.
So, without any GPU my motherboard and proc wouldn't turn on or don't want to turn on anything? even if I didn't need to display anything first because I just want to check if my installation is really correct, and after that then I'm going to install the GPU.

Without GPU, they will not showing anything, the system will turn on, but then shutdown after few second. Some motherboard will do a boot-loop reboot so you have to shutdown manually.

even if I didn't need to display anything first because I just want to check if my installation is really correct, and after that then I'm going to install the GPU.
at least you have to boot into bios to make sure the systems is detect your hardware and working fine. Black screen will not give any explanation.

The system wil turn on but then shutdown, but my system when I press power button the RGB of fans only blinking twice without even any sign of turn on but my RGB in ram keep lighting..
Isn't it should be at least my fans spinning for one seconds and then shut down? because it doesn't have any sign of turning on only the RGB in my fans blinking twice like it will turn on but it wouldn't.

I think I will try your suggestion first, I will let you know later when I already tried it and thanks for the help.

Hello everyone who help me . .
Good news thanks to Gerald for the help, I installed the GPU card and then I realized that I connected the wrong socket power for the CPU because it should be for the GPU then I swapped them and after that I connect my PC to monitor and I pray it's gonna be okay then I pressed the power button and it can start normally and I can get into the BIOS. Huft thank God everything is fine I thought I made a mistakes by holding my mobo while standing on the carpet. Once again thanks everyone and especially to you Gerald.(y)
