HELP MY no signal.. iam a noob

I just bought a "gaming pc" from ebay, and it just arrived today, but it just came with the cpu, so i had to buy the mouse, hdmi cable and a power cord...

BUT for some odd reason i do not get any display to my tv.. i thought i needed that vga cable so i bought that and still nothing...


do i need a computer monitor to be conncected when it first starts up??? PLEASE help... for iam new.. and i reallly want to get to pc gaming

Where is the VGA card plugged in? To a motherboard VGA port or a video card VGA port?

yes i will provide the link, and idk i tried putting the hdmi cable but to i didnt get signal..

i dont know i tried connecting it at all vga ports

Ok, that one worked.

Zotac GeForce GT 520 is the video card.

So you have the HDMI cable from the video card to the TV?

Try booting the PC in Safe Mode and see if the TV gets a signal.
Keep tapping the F8 key after you power on till you see the Advanced Options Menu.
Choose 'Safe Mode' and see what happens.

I do not see any display, i do not even see the menu to go to the advance setting.. Im thinking i need a pc monitor first, so that i can start the computer up? im trying to hook it up to the tv fresh out of the box

Lets talk about the TV.
Got a make and model? Is there a manual that says how to hook up to a PC?
The video out from the computer may not match up to what the TV can handle.
