[SOLVED] Help My PC keeps experiencing lag spikes

Solution
Some games which load data at various points may have a lag spike due to disk read. Having an SSD instead of an old style hard drive can dramatically improve things if this is the case.
If you rule out cooling, and you are up to date on drivers and Windows updates, double check the Task Manager to see if you have any programmes that are utilising the CPU and causing high CPU usage as that can cause lags and spikes. I would also just check Start Up as well and disable any start up applications that are not required.
