Hi,

I recently upgraded my monitor from 18.5 (1366 x 768) to 23.8 (1920 x 1080) and my system has been rebooting while I play CSGO and DOTA2 which are uncapped and capped @ 120 FPS respectively. I suspect my PSU to fall short or CPU to over heat but i'd like to confirm the issue. IF you could help i'd appreciate it. I ran PSU calculator and it recommended 650w GOLD rated EVGA PSU. Can I buy a corsair RM series one instead since EVGA is not popular in INdia? Also I'd like to confirm If it is a PSU issue or a Heating issue.

My System Specifications :-

AMD FX 6300, 3.5GHz Stock Speed, Stock Cooler
Gigabyte 78LMT-S2PT Rev 4.1
2 x 4GB Gskill Value RAM DDR3 1333Mhz Dual Channel Mode
Zotac GTX 1060 3GB Mini
1 & 2 TB WD Purple and Blue resp.
Benq GW2470HM
Dell Keyboard
HP mouse
Circle 500W Raw Power PSU

Try amd overdrive to check your temps and report back cpu temps while idle and while under load. Most likely it is a psu issue. You should experience terrible lag if you are overheating, unless you have disabled cpu thermal throttling in bios which is not recommended. Corsair RM will do the job. What about SeaSonic? Are they available in India?

I've used optimal settings in BIOS. Seasonic is not present on an large scale in our country. They are available on Amazon but not under amazon fulfilled or prime category. I prefer to buy products that have 'prime'.

Also AMD overdrive doesn't support 760G category to which my MOBO belongs. 🙁 I did try and use MSI afterburner to monitor temps but couldn't since I can hardly keep my eyes on Temps while playing.

Also I don't face lag while playing, just reboots. I've capped my FPS to 60 and it plays smooth.
