Help my son removing cm hyper 212 evo

Hi, my son and I have a problem. We are trying to remove a cooler master hyper 212 evo from a motherboard but we can't unscrew it because the fan ( the black part ) is blocking us to unscrew 2 of the 4 screws. Is it possible to remove the fan so we will be able to remove the screws?

The fan is just clipped on, it can be removed easily by unclipping one side.

There are 4 clips that hold the fan on, 2 on each side. If you unclip one side first, you can then unclip the other side and the entire fan comes off of the heatsink. This will give you the proper access to the screws.
