Its been a day of me trying to fix it, i tried downloading drivers, unplugging and using different ports in case the speakers or port itself failed but nothing happened. the speakers seem to be connected (its light is lit) but my pc says "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." i'm using windows 10 if anyones curious.

Can someone help please?

You might have the wrong device selected for playback. When you click the speaker in the System Tray, you'll see the device popout and it will show the default device. For instance mine says Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio). You'll notice a little arrow on the top right of this popout. Click the arrow and you'll see a scrollable list of playback devices. It should probably be set just like mine.
