Hello,

Please remove the 333 to email me.

The tape at the store is old. It is muti-track, ( not sure what the
proper term is). The tape wont play in a normal VHS
player. I hooked my camera up to the back of the
player at the store and recorded the part
that caught the guy who hit me.

I have adobe premiere 6
Anyone have any advice on how to enhance it?
I tried many degrees of sharpening.
I also tried a slight gausian blur and then a sharpen.
Niether helped enough to get a tag number.

Is there a plugin or other software that would do
good jog of enhancing ?

Thank you

Michael

You could try the Retinex enhancement algorithm in PhotoFlair on a
still.

Why not post a still frame and people will be able to tell you if what you
want to do is even possible. I hope that you are not believing that the "magic
enhancement" of security videos seen in TV crime dramas is something real.
No matter how clever the algorithm, there is a definite theoretical limit to
enhancemant. Since you have a 2nd gen copy and security cameras generally are
not that good, I wonder if there is any hope. Anyhow, show us a frame.

Thanks, I will try that link.
I dont expect results like hollywood or TV,
just thought there might be something out there that worked
really well.

Thanks for the reply and the email.
I was not expecting hollywood results, I was just
hoping for better than I was able to do.
I will collect some frames before and after my edits and post them to
my web site. It may take another day to upload them to my page.
Thanks for the input
