I plan to build a low-end Ryzen 3 1200, but I have not built one since my current 965BE so I am a bit out-of-date. It appears the GIGABYTE GA-A320MA-M.2 might suit my needs: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-A320MA-M2-rev-10#sp

But my first concern is will I need a PCI Express video card with that Mobo? Specs for the board show that it has "integrated graphics processor" already. This board has video outputs, but some sellers of the CPU are stating that a video card is required with the Ryzen 3 1200.

Thanks for the suggestion....might go with a 2200g or a 2400g...to save on a video card for now. Cost increase to a 2200 g is negligible.
Later i just add a GPU in the PCIE slot and I have a more capable machine?

That Gigabyte 320 does not? Big fan of RAID0 performane and that Gigabytes board supports RAID0.

EDIT: Looks like the ASROCK B450M supports RAID as well.

OK, thanks again for the suggestion. Found a 450 for the same price... Apparently the 450 is the newer chipset?

Any chance you could suggest memory speed for the 2200G and a 450 board?

Thanks again.. With the 2200g/2400g CPUs and the 450 chipsets I can later install a decent video card and can disable Vega?

It looks like I might be able to save a few dollars with a 320 chipset board and if the BIOS is dated I can pull my rx 480 out of this system update the bios in the mobo and then insert the 2200G or 200GE (not sure which at this point) and it should work. Would prefer the seemingly newer 450 chipset however.

The thing that gets me every time I build a PC....."well if I spend only 15-35 dollars more it is worth the upgrade now" then I end up spending way more when I am done...
:/

Thanks for the interest and reply....I tried to get a Ryzen. but the 200GE was about half the price of a 2200G (new anyway), so I went with the 200GE. GPU performance I know is considerably less than the 2200G, but for what the PC will be used for (very light gaming and video editing) I should be able to get by with the mentioned specs. When prices come down in a few years I will then upgrade to a nicer AM4 CPU and a proper PCIE video card.

Note: I did update my most prior comment after your post. Thanks again. Funny is the 200ge is only 20% (roughyl) better than this 965BE I am still using about 7-8 years later. I suppose the 200GE is much better when you look at power consumption.
