Machine crashed about a week ago and this problem has persisted since then. I've been looking for an answer but cannot seem to find a solution to my problem.

So for a little more info: I install a fresh win 8.1 with legit key through CD. After it is installed, I try to update windows through windows update, do the 40-50 updates, go to restart and after restart the computer goes into constant loop of attempting to repair or restore. The only way back into windows is to restore but that's without any updates. If I try again, same issue. I bought this pc 1.5 - 2yrs ago brand new everything. No issues like this before.

I noticed the same thing happens when I try to install my NVIDIA updates first without windows updates. Get them installed, restart, and constant loop of attempting to repair. With the only solution being restore to a time before or re-installing windows.

I have re-installed windows a dozen times now, ran a chkdsk /r on both drives, installed windows on both drives (did a diskpart clean on both) while disconnecting the other one. I disconnect all usb besides mouse/keyboard (switched out keyboard to old one).

In need of a little assistance and any possible solutions or narrowing down to the problem.

A little side note, in this tom's forum thread the middle picture looks like my loading windows screen and some black screens have those little blue lines. The difference is they are not that bright and overbearing on mine. The other picture of his asus logo with the '¢' symbols I do not see. I too have a benq monitor.
