Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsnt.domain (More info?)
Issue #1
Recently, IT changed domain names at our organization. Some of our
workstations automatically updated the domain as an option within the domain
name dropdown box on the Windows client logon screen. However, a couple of
the workstations did not automatically update and thus, the new domain is
not an option from the logon screen making it impossible to gain access to
the network.
Question
Can the new domain be defined at the client workstation within the operating
system (OS) software or does it have to be defined at the server (e.g., DNS
and/or Active Directory)?
Will await your reply.
Thank you!!
