help needed for 720p gaming

Hey i just wanted to know which is better for future
R9 280 or Gtx 960 .
I will be playing at 720p at everything maxed out every new game.
which card will hold 60-40 fps for 3-4 years at that res.Please help me.thanks i advance.

IMHO you should get the new tech: Maxwell GTX960 2GB would be perfect for 720p.

Both of those will play 1080p 60fps medium to maximum (depending of how old or new game).

Newest or many upcoming games won't run at max no matter what because of VRAM.
Newest games require at least 3Gb, Many, like GTA V, need even more. Like at least 6gb.

Resolution only matters really when going higher. Difference between 720p and 1080p in memory usage is minimal.
But when you go from 1080p to 1440p and even further to 4k, the difference can be significant depending of game.

Now a days when you think hardware for max out AAA games you think GTX970 (720p/1080p).
Still GTX960 will give you excellent performance for your money.
