Hi guys, i'm building a budget gaming pc for 600$- 650$. I've chosen the following setup. Is this a good setup or can i improve anything? I mainly use this pc for medium gaming and daily use. Reliabilty is of importance. I'm using my old micro ATX cabinet. I won't be doing any overclocking so i've chosen the h97 chipset. Any suggestions are welcome. Please do keep the budget in mind 😀

PSU - Corsair VS550 550 Watt PSU
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H
CPU - Intel 3.1 GHz LGA 1150 i5 4440 4th Generation Processor
RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9) (4gb x2)
HDD - WD Blue WD10EZEX 1 TB Internal Hard Drive
GPU - Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5

Thanks in advance :)

get antec vp 450/ evga 500 / corsair vs 450 for PSU
do not include ram that doest have same model and speed get instead corsair vengeance 8gb 2x4gb 1600 ddr3 cl9
try to raise your budget and get 750ti 2gb / r7 260x(500w) if cant degrade mobo to h81
if still cant get i3, h81, seasonic s12II 520, r9 270

Nice try with the build but for $625, its really not gonna live up to it. Here I put together a good PC for your budget:

Its a 4 core i5-4430 with a R9 280. It should perform a lot better than your previous choices and the extra VRAM in the R9 280 will allow better performance and multi-monitor setups. The price is in your budget and now you have 8GB RAM rather than 4GB.

Here are some benchmarks on the card:

EDIT: I was able to throw in a 120GB SSD with the Intel CPU.

4GB of RAM isn't really too good for gaming, especially at a budget like his.

Your plan is reasonable.

The ram config is strange...
I think you want one 8gb kit made up of 2 4gb sticks.

For daily usage I urge you to find a way to use a ssd for the "C" drive.
I will never again build without a ssd for the "C" drive. It makes everything you do much quicker.
120gb is minimum, it will hold the os and a handful of games. If you can go 240gb, you may never need a hard drive.
I don't.
I would defer on the hard drive unless you need to store large files such as video's.
It is easy to add a hard drive later.
Samsung EVO is a good choice.
Intel is OK too.

For $650 he would be better off just going with normal storage and then upgrade later on. Its possible to throw in a SSD in the budget but I don't want it messing with performance and upgrading to one is not too hard.

At his budget he can fit 8GB in so no point in upgrading later since he can get it now. The plan is good but 8GB is pretty much necessary for gaming these days. Also he doesn't need a case since he already has one.

Upgrading to a ssd is easy if the ssd is big enough to hold the contents of the hard drive. You can clone it.
But, if that is not the case, then you need to do a clean install on the ssd and reinstall your programs.
That is a real pain.

If you start with a ssd, even a small one, it is easy to clone to a larger ssd if you ever need to.

Hes gonna have to go Team Red on the CPU if he wants an SSD. The performance difference should be THAT big, but I would still go with Intel and then just upgrade.[/strike]

Was able to fit an SSD with the Intel CPU. I edited my originally posted build.

Yeah, hes better off buying this over the previous build you made.

I'm buying it online in India. So i can buy only those which are available here.

Oh, apologies, I have been making the builds with U.S. retailers. Ill try to find the best build for that price in India. Again, sorry.

i guessed that cus the prices there are high , otherwise you wouldnt have picked only HD 7770

Just get a better video card . Save from the RAM - get 4GB and a faster card .

Thanks for your reply.
I'm sorry i forgot to mention that i'm in India and a lot of components aren't available here.
So now i got this.

Intel Core i5-4430 3.0GHz Quad-Core http://www.flipkart.com/intel-3-ghz-lga-1150-4430-i5-4th-generation-processor/p/itmdhsphhnyzmua4?pid=PSRDHSPKGGHJHDAX&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=i5+4430&ref=2198f8e2-8e26-40a7-a63f-0ed60085ac1f

I couldnt find the asrock mb you mentioned. Instead i got this. Is this okay?
Asrock H97M Pro4 32GB DDR3 Intel Motherboard
http://www.theitdepot.com/details-Asrock+H97M+Pro4+32GB+DDR3+Intel+Motherboard_P22837.html

For RAM Team Vulcan isn't available here. I can get Corsair, G skill, Transcend, Kingston!
For SSD you mentioned it's 75$ here. I was kind of hoping that i could get SSD later on.
The GPU isn't available here.
EVGA PSU's aren't available here 🙁

Sorry forgot to mention that :)

I thought instead of 1 8gb i could get 2 4gb rams for better performance. I'll try to get the SSD in this budget :)

Okay then i'm gonna go with this one along gtx 750ti. What about the motherboard and the cpu??? Is it okay? I'll try to get an ssd for the c drive.
