Question Help needed. Not sure if my graphics card is compatible with my motherboard.

This is my first time building my own pc and i was installing everything and it was going smooth but then i got to where i needed to install my graphics card. I have the x570 aorus elite wifi motherboard and msi geforce rtx 2060 graphics card. When i try to insert the gpu into the motherboard, it won’t fit into the slot on the motherboard. Are these two just not compatible or am i completely missing something?

The card should fit in that slot ok. Is the card touching the heatsink chipset?

Did you remove the GPU connectors plastic cover?

of course it is compatible
Check your graphics card pin and allign properly in PCIe slot
it take some force because there is a lock in pcie slot in last which get locked in GPU pins
