Help needed with ASUS Maximus VI Hero (RAM Issues)

Hello, I've been using Toms' Hardware for quite some time now to solve little mysteries in computer building, but since I cannot find a solution for my particular situation I have joined and am now creating a thread for further help. Any and all help will be appreciated and I thank you in advance,

Ive recently built a computer and everything has been running fine. I can play hi-res video games with no problems, however I got into overclocking and decided I needed a beefier CPU cooler to handle anything over 4400 MHz and 1.268V. I bought and installed a Corsair H110 and installed it onto my case, the CM Storm Trooper, and it all fit nicely. The only questionable thing was the backplate on the back could cover up pins sticking out of the back of my motherboard (ASUS Maximus VI Hero) so I rotated it by 90° and it fit. A day after I installed it, I noticed the idle temperatures were a little, high, because my CPU was idling at 50° celsius.. That is what some people get on maximum load. Also to see how the cooler would do I set my 4770k back to default frequency and enabled auto voltage in the BIOS. After this I switched my fans to intake and push rather than push and exhaust to see if that could make a difference, though after the fan switch I couldn't even boot.

Every time I turn on my computer I get error Q-code 53, Which is a memory (RAM) initialization error and the DRAM_LED lights up a bright red.

It shows that the memory failed to start up, so I conducted another test this time without any RAM installed because the Q-code would change to 55 revealing that no RAM was installed, but it did not. I tried almost everything, clearing CMOS, flashing a fresh BIOS copy, a diffrerent RAM stick, making sure that there arent any connection shorts on the back of the motherboard, and using motherboard functions like MemOk!, but they all had not worked.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated and thank you

If the OP has not sorted the issue a quick fix is to reseat the CPU.

The CPU is most likely not balanced, this often happens when we are keen to get started. The cooler needs to be tightened equally and methodically so as to not be uneven as this can cause a socket pin to slide off the pads under the CPU.

THIS IS FROM THE ROG FORUMS , people claim it has worked for them , when they get this error.

Now that I think about it I was very quick to set the CPU cooler.. and that also may explain the high idle temps! I will go try it out to see if it worked and thank you!
